At Kennall Vale School we are committed to giving the children a whole wealth of opportunities for personal development. Our annual residential camps give children opportunities to grow and learn things about themselves they they never knew before!
Children in Year 3 and 4 complete a one night residential and when they get to Year 5 and 6, they complete a 4 night residential.
In year three and four, children have visited: Camp Kernow, Plymouth Aquarium and completed a sleepover at school!
In five and six, children have visited: the Isles of Scilly, Porthpean, Carnyorth, BF Adventures and Pixies Holt on Dartmoor.
We aim to give children the opportunity to develop their resilience to challenge themselves and try activities they may not otherwise get the chance to do. Children have the opportunity to try a whole range of activities, such as climbing, cycling, kayaking, canoeing, archery and orienteering. They also learn about the local environment and why the habitats are so special where we live.
