Clubs and Opportunities at Kennall Vale School
At Kennall Vale, we are proud to offer a wide range of clubs and activities that inspire creativity, build new skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning. Our goal is to support students in exploring their interests, staying active, and building strong friendships.
Creative Clubs
Our pottery and crafts clubs allow students to express their creativity through hands-on projects. In pottery club, children learn techniques in clay work and create their own unique pieces. Crafts club provides an opportunity to work with various materials, encouraging students to bring their ideas to life through art and design. These clubs not only build artistic skills but also encourage patience, fine motor development, and imagination.
Morning Running Club:
Our Running Club meets in the morning before school, where students take a refreshing run around the village. Beginning the day with physical activity brings many benefits—running boosts energy, lifts mood, and enhances concentration, helping students start the school day feeling focused and ready to learn. The running club also fosters a sense of community and resilience, and it’s a fantastic way for students to appreciate the outdoors while staying active.
Sporting Excellence with Plymouth Argyle Coaches
Kennall Vale is excited to collaborate with Plymouth Argyle, whose highly skilled coaches bring expert-led sports training to our students. Their guidance helps young athletes develop core skills, build confidence, and learn the value of teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. These sessions are a wonderful way for children to enjoy sports while benefiting from professional coaching.
Penryn Partnership and Local Sports League
As members of the Penryn Partnership, our students have the chance to connect with peers from other local schools through events and activities that support personal growth and community engagement. In addition, our KS2 students compete in a local sports league, participating in a range of sports, from football and netball to athletics. These friendly competitions encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance while allowing students to represent their school with pride.
Lunchtime Clubs for a Calmer Environment
In addition to our after-school clubs, we offer lunchtime clubs like board games, drawing, and boys focus club. These quieter activities provide a supportive space for children who may find the playground environment more challenging, allowing them to relax, connect with peers, and enjoy their lunchtime in a calm and enjoyable way.
Worried About Your Child Missing Out Due to After School Club?
No need to worry! We run a drop-off service when clubs finish at 4:15 pm, ensuring that your child is safely escorted to after-school care. This allows them to enjoy their club activities and then transition seamlessly to extended care, giving you peace of mind and making it easier to balance their participation with your schedule.
Through our diverse clubs and opportunities, Kennall Vale School is committed to providing students with memorable experiences that help them develop their talents, nurture their passions, and build lifelong skills.
