We are incredibly fortunate to have the support of The Friends of Kennall Vale, a dedicated group of parents and community members who work together to enrich the educational experience for our children. In our small school community, their efforts have a profound impact, providing additional resources and opportunities that benefit every student and greatly enhance what we can offer.
The Friends of Kennall Vale School organise events, raise funds, and contribute to projects that directly support learning, creativity, and well-being across the school. Their involvement provides resources that go beyond what a small school budget can typically cover, allowing for memorable experiences and exciting learning resources. Each year, they provide Year 6 students with special leavers’ hoodies and fund a celebratory trip to the Minack Theatre, creating lasting memories for our students as they complete their primary education.
Opportunities and Contributions
Thanks to the Friends of Kennall Vale School, our students can participate in a range of unique activities that enhance their learning and broaden their horizons. Their contributions have recently funded:
- Class Budgets: This academic year, each class has received £500 to spend on resources tailored to their learning needs, allowing teachers to provide engaging activities and materials that make learning fun and accessible.
- Science and Enrichment Events: Last year, The Friends funded Wonderstruck, an exciting science event that sparked curiosity and inspired students across the school.
- Nurture Space Development: Their generosity has also provided £1,500 towards the development of a Nurture Space, creating a dedicated area where students can feel safe, supported, and calm.
- School Outings and Cultural Experiences: Subsidised trips and experiences make it possible for all students to explore the world beyond the classroom, whether through museum visits or outdoor learning adventures.
